Michael Jackson Dangerous – Who is it

Written by Michael and produced by him in collaboration Bill Bottrell, “Who Is It” was released by Epic Records on August 31, as the fifth single from Dangerous Michael Jackson’s eighth studio album in 1991.

The song’s lyrics were about despair after being left by someone you love; some noticed a similarity to the lyrics to “Billie Jean” Michael’s 1983 album Thriller single. The song’s music genre is credited as being R&B and New jack swing.

“Who Is It” was a worldwide success, peaking within the top thirty positions on national music charts. The song peaked at:

  • #14 on the United States’ Billboard Hot 100 chart
  • #6 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs
  • And topping the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play

Internationally “Who Is It” went to:

  • #2 on New Zealand charts
  • #5 in Austria
  • #8 in France
  • #10 in the United Kingdom

It also peaked within the top twenty on Swiss and Dutch charts. “Who Is It” was not performed by Michael on any of his world concert tours.

As part of the promotion for the song, two music videos were released in 1993.

This video is fukin amazing. MJ was a genious. So much emotion in this track and video. He was a master of his craft. The same way Muhammed Ali, Bruce Lee and Malcolm X was.

The amount of detail this video has of showing emotions is crazy. This video will kill many videos of today. He was well ahead of his time thats why he is the king of pop. RIP

Am I the only one that sees the Irony in the haters comments, calling MJ all kinds of shit, even after he is dead. My meaning being that he transformed the music industry, and most artist today is inspired by him, meaning that whatever music the haters like has most likely been influenced by MJ in one way or the other. and calling him a pedophile is just wrong, there was never any conclusive evidence that he violated those boys.

in my opinion he was and still is a Legend among men.

    R.I.P MJ

Isn’t it said that E’Casanova did a part in this video? Does someone know if this is true? They look so much alike, that I wouldn’t see the difference right away, to be honest.

Gorgeous song, angelic backing vocals. I love the violins. Thank you Michael Jackson, everything you ever created is a masterpiece. I stand in awe at your geniusness.
