Watch out for “Ginger” .. she/he calls in her/his SO-CALLED “COLLEAGUES” (LOL) to weigh in on her/his OPINIONS and “FACTS” (choke) and “STATISTICS” (ahem) if you confront her/him on ANYTHING that she/he says. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Gee, this reminds me of Tabloid Mania in many respects. Half-truths and downright lies just sicken me.

  2. dangerousblablao says:

@GingerBakersson well, in my estimation, MJ does compare to those artists. check out songs like who is it, stranger in moscow and the lost children. i dont think he stands back as a composer. we`ll have to agree to disagree. :)

  3. dangerousblablao says:

@GingerBakersson hi. i know Eminem and Beatles were no 1 and 2 on the Soundscan list and that he won the “biggest selling”–award. but thats just in the US. and r u saying that MJ is now the 2nd best-selling artist in the US, in the 21st century? im a bit confused…

  4. GingerBakersson says:

@dangerousblablao One last thing. I do not mean to be rude – but the comments you made about comparing Michael as a composer to the Beatles and Mozart is a little, well, silly. Soryy. I love Michael. But he is not a composer or musician like Mozart or the Beatles. He wrote a few very good pop songs such as BJ and he could play a little drums and piano. But his real talent is his voice, dancing, style and videos. Sorry.

  5. GingerBakersson says:

@dangerousblablao If you google ‘Eminem, biggest selling act of 21st century’ you will come to various sites that will support my post. My company continually keeps tracking sales based on SN, RIAA and other sources. Eminem is now ranked no3, behind the Beatles and Michael. Michael made a huge jump from no 23 to no2 in just one year. If the Beatls had not re-released their albums then Michael would have been no1. These stats are correct. Hope this has been of help.

  6. GingerBakersson says:

@dangerousblablao Hello. I have posted the list of the top selling acts of the 21st century as of June 2009. At that time Michael was not in the top 20. However, he is now no2. The Beatles had been 2 million sales behind Eminem. But with their global domination last year they have now outsold him by over 27 million units. Both the Beatles and Michael made huge jumps in sales due to Michael death and the remasters of Beatles albums.

  7. GingerBakersson says:

This is a list of the top 20 selling acts of the 21st century as compiled by my company based on SN and RIAA stats up to June 2009. Therefore, accurate.

    1. Eminem
    2. Beatles
    3. Tim McGraw
    4. Toby Keith
    5. Britney Spears
    6. Kenny Chesney
    7. Nelly
    8. Linkin Park
    9. Creed
    10. Jay-Z
    11. Nickelback
    12. Josh Groban
    13. Rascal Flatts
    14. Metallica
    15. Alan Jackson
    16. *NSYNC
    17. Dixie Chicks
    18. Johnny Cash (
    19. Kid Rock
    20. Celine Dion

  8. dangerousblablao says:

@GingerBakersson no way Eminem has sold more worldwide, than MJ in the 21st century. no way. MJ has sold over 60 million units, since 2009, over 20 million of that in the US. MJ is the best-selling act of the 21st century.

  9. dangerousblablao says:

@GingerBakersson MJ was a musical prodigy from a very young age, like Mozart. he started his career at the age of 5, like Mozart. he was a prolific composer, like Mozart. MJ composed Billie Jean. Mozart composed Requeim. MJ is the King of Popular Music. Mozart is the King of Classical Music. MJs musicianship is very well on the same league as Mozart, Beatles and Beethoven etc.

The Beatles have just taken the No1 spot on the Billboard DVD chart with their legendary Ed Sullivan shows. Also, The Opus Collection – John Lennon has just entered the US top 50 billboard CD chart. In October the John Lennon remastered collection is being released on CD and is going to chart all over the world. Special concerts in USA with Lady Ga Ga, Christine Augulera etc are going to celebrate the music of Lennon and the Beatles.

    so what??????????????????????????

  18. Runandtakeit says:

@TheRealKingMichael I’m a teen and I agree with Gingerbakersson. I download my music, I don’t buy C D. Ain’t no way anyone is gonna outsell Beatles in C D sales. Those days are over. Reading Ginger I got to say he is the only one on here that talks sense and makes intelligent comments. And I don’t like Jackson. And I’m a teen.

  19. TheRealKingMichael says:

    @GingerBakerson

  20. TheRealKingMichael says:

@GingerBakersson The century has just started, this is the first decad of 21st century.Dont u think dat is really early 2 talk about the best-sellin of the century when we are yet at the begining of it? like i said im a teen,i dont have my own money 2 buy albums,im depended from the money my parents give 2 me dats why teens like me were out of that poll but NP,my b-day is very soon so i will have another album of MJ.Now i gtg, still busy watchin 5 years old kids dancin like MJ.
    please just check

  21. GingerBakersson says:

@ds4mj2 The Beatles talent was not in dancing and they did not have the technology to put on the wonderful live shows that Michael did. Lennon and McCartney ARE the most popular and most successful composers in history. Check guiness book. The Beatles were innovative and revolutionary instrumentalists. This is their area of greatness. Michaels greatness was his singing/dancing and natural rhythmn. His style and image remains iconic.

  22. GingerBakersson says:

@ds4mj2 “good try”. Why are you so defensive? I was not trying to do anything apart from stating the facts. Michaels main sphere of influence is in dance, live performance and video promos. Yes, he is a great singer and he did write songs. But, Michaels main talent is not as an instrumentalist or as a composer. As a songwriter he compares well with Prince or Stevie Wonder. But he does not compare to Mozart, Lennon and McCartney or Gershwin.

  23. snowy0202 says:

    @jessluvstheKingMJ

Of course you are sweetie, i believe you. LOL.

  24. GingerBakersson says:

@TheRealKingMichael Hello. I am sorry, but it is a fact that Eminem was the no1 selling act of the 21st century up until June 2009. Beatles were no 2. Please check google. Michael was not in the top 20. However, since then Michael has sold over 30 million units. As for the polls and market research, this is important to my line of work and to the music producers. The main audience that purchased Beatles and Jackson CD’s were the 25 to 50 age group.

  25. ds4mj2 says:
