The video has a sci-fi theme and both Michael and Janet wear spacesuit-type clothing. The video also features a range of anime and pop culture references – such as Andy Warhol’s self-portrait.
The video cost $7,000,000 to make and remains the most expensive video of all time. Scream won several MTV awards and a Grammy for Best Music Video.
