Michael Jackson Death a Homicide?

LAPD treating Michael Jackson’s Death as Homicide

michael-jackson-remember-the-timeTMZ, the website that broke the news of Michael Jackson’s death is reporting that the Los Angeles police department is treating Michael Jackson’s death as homicide and they are focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray.

TMZ cites multiple law enforcement sources as saying that the investigation is focusing on Dr Conrad Murray after evidence pointed to the anesthesia Propofol also known as Diprivan as the cause of death.

The drug, which is administered intravenously and is usually used only in hospitals in controlled conditions, is believed to have been given to help Michael sleep because of his chronic insomnia.

Murray reportedly told detectives that he found Michael Jackson in his room in bed barley breathing the day he died. He says he tried to revive him with CPR for over 20 minutes before he was able to call for help.

It would appear that Dr. Murray has not been as cooperative as first reported. TMZ reported that Conrad Murray turned over some of his medical records concerning Michael Jackson but not all that were requested.

TMZ quoted law enforcement sources as allegedly saying there is “plenty of powerful evidence” that Murray administered the drug to Jackson. The evidence includes an intravenous drip stand – as Diprivan is administered through an IV drip and an oxygen tank found in the star’s home – oxygen must be used in the administration of Diprivanl,

Sources have reported to the US press that Dr. Murray is not co-operating with the investigation. He has been interviewed twice under caution, leading detectives to conduct a second search of Michael’s home, which is when the vials of Propofol were discovered.

Detectives were also suspicions about the length of time that passed before Dr. Murray called for help, up to 30 minutes passed before emergency services were called.

Murray’s lawyer would neither confirm nor deny that his client administered Propofol to Jackson. The police said there would be no public comment on the investigation until it was complete.
