Michael Jackson 1986 Grammys
At the 1986 Grammys Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie received awards for ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Performance By a Duo or Group With Vocal’ for ‘We Are the World’.
Lionel Richie probably thought it would be a better idea to team up with Michael and come out with an album if he wanted to win an award. Just two years earlier at the ’1984 Grammys’ Michael beat him out in every category when his ‘Thriller’ album won a record 8 Grammys.
