Most of the older generation who grew up with the Jackson5 are Jermaine Fans or feel like he was a much better singer than Michael. Today’s generation don’t know the music of the time they just know the name because it’s MJ’s brother and would never think in a million years He was a better singer. Michael gained attention because he was the youngest & so cute, then in late 70s MJ went on his own, the fans followed, & the bros stayed behind, then came Billie Jean and Beat it & WE made him King.

The Jacksons grew up in a period were it was LEGAL to drag a black man off the streets or home and hand them on a tree. It is called lynching, named after Billy Lynch. Most black children was spanked as a form of discipline to prevent an even worse discipline ie lynching. A black man could be lynched just for walking on the same side of the road to a white woman. Joe protected his boys. he was their. and he cultivated their crafts and gave them to the world. You are the bastard.

You couldn’t visit him in prison because joe jackson made sure NON of his children went there. I guess you are not black otherwise you might have known the history of Lynching of black men in the 50′s.
If Joe worked his children out of the slums, he prevented them from working in the steelmills or dealing drugs which was the only alternatives. leave the Jackson family alone, as Katherine says, it happened 40 years ago, move on fool.
